Purpose
The purpose of children’s ministry is to come alongside parents in helping them fulfill their biblical parenting responsibilities. The children’s ministry team will attempt to evangelize children as well as teach them the character of God in age-appropriate ways. In a safe environment, we seek to provide an attractive, captivating, and challenging place for children to learn about God. While Grace Church will assist parents through physical and spiritual care of their children in the promotion of the Gospel, children’s ministries do not alleviate parents from their God-given responsibility to teach and lead their own children through loving biblical instruction in the home.
Children’s Equipping Hour – Sundays 9:00-9:45 a.m.
Children’s Equipping Hour exists to help parents teach their children about the character of God and the Gospel. Parents can enjoy the benefits of their own Equipping Hour while their children are also being equipped, learning the Scriptures directly from the biblical accounts. We use the Generations of Grace curriculum which, over a three-year period of time, allows your child to be taught through the entire Bible. This occurs at the hands of caring and loving individuals skilled in the art of teaching truth to our future generation!
Nursery (Ages 0-4) – Sundays 10:00 a.m. to Noon
Our nursery exists to provide a safe, clean environment for parents to entrust your small children if you so choose. Staffed by volunteers and ordered by leadership and policies, our nursery aims to be a welcoming and caring place for your precious little ones. Nurseries also can prevent potential distractions to both parents and other worshippers, give mothers with young children a chance to genuinely engage in worship, and care for little ones by lovingly meeting their needs.
We have a nursery available during the entirety of the morning worship service. You can check your children in and drop them off before the worship service or at any point during the service. Cell phones will be used as pagers so please keep your phone with you and on vibrate during the service so we can contact you if needed.
Adventure Club - Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adventure Club exists to glorify God through evangelizing children. Our Wednesday night children’s ministry program is focused on Bible memorization and teaching children the truth of God’s Word in a fun, meaningful way. Adventure Club is designed for kids age three to twelve and is set up as a unified curriculum, where all members of a family receive the same weekly lesson. The unified approach enables parents to engage with all their children on the same central truth, memory verse, and practical application. The unified curriculum is designed to help parents be engaged in their children's learning of biblical truth and encourages biblical discussion in the home. The Kids Books are designed to be used by both parent and child to continue their learning throughout the week. Units include: Book 1 - The Bible and the Trinty. Book 2 - Man, Sin and Salvation. Book 3 - Angels, The Church and End Times.
